First of the two European-wide meetings of parliamentary committees involved in TA related issues.
The main subject will cover the challenges and opportunities of creating institutions to support knowledge-based policy making.
The meeting intends to offer a dialogue platform for policy-makers from various countries (European countries with or without PTA organizations) so that they can exchange their experiences and views on the following issues:
- How politicians cope with technology and science related issues? What kind of knowledge do they need?
- What is (or should be) the role of PTA organizations with respect to knowledge-based policy-making? What are the expectations of the politicians towards PTA?
- How far cross-national TA projects can be integrated with national policy-making processes? What are the expectations of politicians?

Event not open to the public.
